We are looking for someone interested in becoming an integral part of our family team, on a long-term basis, starting September 3rd, 2019. Duties will include:  Companionship for an active senior with dementia (5 days/week) and possible daycare for a toddler (2 days/week..to be discussed at time of interview)  Reminders (medication, self-care, scheduling)  Meal planning, grocery shopping, and preparation of meals including dinner for family at end of each shift  Planning and implementing activities with dependent(s)  Driving dependent(s) to medical appointments and recreational activities  Daily walks with family dog  Ensure mail is brought in each day  Housekeeping and laundry  Maintaining a record of expenditures  Regular communication with Employer  Working with family and friends to foster an enriching life experience *In situations where dependent is not home, caregiver will be expected to attend to other duties like meal planning, meal prep, housekeeping, laundry, walking the dog, etc. You are: · Loving, energetic, social, organized and reliable · Patient; previous experience with individuals with dementia an asset but not required · In possession of a BC driver’s licence and clean driving record · Willing to undergo a criminal record check · Looking for a long-term working situation · An animal-lover (dog/cat) · A non-smoker
