Flexible Personal Support Home workers are needed. We are looking for several mature, devoted and caring individuals to support an amazing 62yr old woman in being all she can be, in spite of being in a wheelchair. You will have the opportunity to experience her sense of humor, positive and uplifting personality, while sharing in her contributions to the community. You will be part of a family managed team of support that includes respite, day, evening and night support. You will support the individual in daily living, personal care, house maintenance, laundry, participation in faith-based events and activities and tending to other needs that may be required. The role also includes supporting the individual in building relationships with family, neighborhood and faith communities. This opportunity requires flexibility in work hours. The ideal candidate will possess: 1. The ability to work as a team-player in a home environment with good communication skills 2. Responsiveness and flexibility to the complex and changing needs of a senior requiring support. 3. A “can-do” mindset, with problem-solving skills. 4. Knowledge of community resources and the ability to support the person’s participation and inclusion within their family and community in accordance with the person’s interest and capabilities, given any physical concerns needing to be taken into account. 5. A valid Class 5 driver’s license; access to a reliable vehicle, applicable insurance and a clean driver’s abstract 6 First Aid and CPR certification 7.Criminal Record Check
