We are looking for a friendly, loyal and highly dependable child caregiver that enjoys being part of a friendly, easygoing and fun family (which includes a 10 year old child and a fun-loving 2 year-old chocolate labrador). Our family enjoys walking and fresh air so you should be happy walking 1 hour per day which includes walking our child to school and back, plus a dog walk in the afternoon. Approximately 30-35 hours per week are required between Monday – Friday. Some weeks may require more hours (40 hours), however this can be planned well in advance. The key responsibilities of this role include after-school pick up and childcare and organization of child activities and playdates, taking child to and from after-school activities, helping with homework, preparation of nutritious child snacks and dinner. The candidate should be comfortable following an allergy protocol, preparing meals free of specific allergens, preferably with training on how to manage anaphylactic allergic reactions including assessing for breathing difficulties and administering intramuscular injections (epi-pen). We are looking for a candidate who is already legally available to work in Canada. The position is live-out, but we would be willing to consider a live-in position if required. In summary: - Require 6 -7 hours per day Monday to Friday from approximately 12:00 – 18:00 or 12:30 – 18:30. o Overall organization of child after-school activities and play dates o Meal planning, preparation of nutritious child snacks and dinner following allergy protocol o Organizing school activities requiring action (i.e. permission slips for school trips, homework, identifying extra help needed with homework.) o School lunch planned and prepped for next day o Dog walking when walking child to and from school. o Light household duties, including child laundry o Preferably training with how to manage anaphylactic allergic reactions and administer and epi-pen injection
