KIND CARING Caregiver - IN YOUR HOME - PT 3-5 Hrs / Day - 1 or 2 Days A Week

MP
Active:

Local (Transcona / Kildonan area preferred) - Kind Patient and Caring Elder Caregiver / Companion required Part Time / in YOUR HOME. This would be 3-5 hrs per day (once or twice a week at most). Days can be often altered during week to fit with your availability, but most be during week (M-F - during business hours) so that we can take care of business. Required is experience, references and criminal or vulnerable person check. ***PAY - We would pay cash. $15 per hour to take care and watch over her, while we take care of errands. Requires a nice, neat & clean home (needed for walker) with nice private room with bed to lie down and rest (in case she gets tired and asks to lie down). A peaceful home with few people is best. *** Mum is 90 yrs old. Has moderate alzheimers. And has a knee that gives out suddenly (dangerous) so she must always use her walker. SHE FORGETS TO USE IT OFTEN, so you must be ready to give it to her and remind her to use it a lot. Mum must be watched at all times to keep her safe and prevent her from walking out your front door. She can NOT ever be left alone for any length of time. She becomes very confused. A kind peaceful yet attentive home environment is needed. With as few people as possible... ** DUTIES Watching over her keeping her safe and help her with getting up/down and walking (even though she has walker). She will also need to be shown where washroom is and toilet paper (make sure to have readily available) etc. She will need you to guide her there each time and take gentle lead with things because she will get disoriented. She has really no memory at times. Guiding her to bathroom or bedroom , every time because she gets confused (even in our home this happens.) Reassuring her who you are, and reminding her that her family will come pick her up soon, many times is important. *** Giving her water, a drink and snacks if needed (we will supply these). She will always refuse food but we ask that you just give it to her. Being naturally kind and caring is huge. Understanding and Patience is HUGE. Helpfulness is huge. Thank you
