The position is for an individual who is willing and eager to learn to look after a special needs 4 1/2 year old boy who is visually impaired with development detail but a sweet and energetic boy. The right person will meals for ex. prepare milk for child, spoon feed him, change his diapers, bathe him, provide stimulating play with toys, sit in on visits with his PT, OT, Speech etc.... and be actively involved with his care and fillow his daily care plan. Also take him for walks, attend appointments as needed with mom, take him to community drop ins for interaction with other kids. The position is to start September 3 but I would like to provide training a few days before to make the right person feel comfortable and we as well. I am looking for 2 to 3 people to fill the position. The hours fluctuate from day to day. Hours will be discussed at interview. Location in Markham. I want someone to play with him. He needs constant supervision, sensory play, walks, feeding, changing brief and showering him.
