We are a family of three (married couple, with a 3-year-old) who are expecting our second child in late August. The ideal candidate to work with us, would be agreeable to the following: Part-time schedule: Estimated 15-25 hours per week (we have flexibility but are hoping that most of the support comes in the afternoons and at dinner time, something like 1-6pm). My wife will be home on maternity leave for the upcoming year after our 2nd arrives (late August), but we hope you could help us out now, and continue in this capacity long term even after the leave period. Live-out: We live in downtown Toronto, in a condominium by the Harbourfront Centre (5-minute walk from Union Station and there is a streetcar stop outside our building). Unfortunately, there is no guest parking in our building. No sponsorship required: We understand that the sponsorship process is long and complex, and we would prefer a candidate who would not require it. Housekeeping support (Primary Function): Typical housekeeping support (our condo is 2+bd / 2ba) - full cleaning of the condo including bathrooms, kitchen, floors, windows, launder bed linens and remake the beds, dusting etc. once a week or so (can rotate doing these every other week), plus daily washing of dishes, tidying, and possibly some laundry support, primarily for our newborn. Cooking (Primary Function): It’s important that who we hire have an interest in, and experience with, cooking and dinner prep. We enjoy a wide variety of cuisines, and are open to what you might cook as long as it is relatively healthy and well-balanced. Childcare support: We don’t expect to need significant childcare support as our 3-year-old is currently in full-time daycare and my wife will be on maternity leave with our newborn (who we expect to put into daycare after mat leave). However, there will be times where she needs to run errands, take calls, take a nap, etc. where we may need you to watch our baby. You would typically be interacting with our older son just during the early evening after he comes home from daycare around dinner time. (It would be ideal if you could be available/willing to babysit for our two children on occasion in the evenings/weekends - babysitting can be discussed separately.) Other: We have no pets and are a strictly non-smoking family. We are looking for someone who is trustworthy, hardworking, punctual, can adapt well to change and will become an extension of our family. We will require a police background check and references from prior employers.
