We are a loving family seeking a kind, energetic, reliable, and experienced live-out nanny for our three children—a one-year-old girl, four-year-old boy, and six-year-old boy. We are looking for someone who can start in mid-September. The hours will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Thursday. Additional hours may be available if needed. The four- and six-year-olds will be in school daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The school is a 10-minute walk from our home. The baby will be with you full time. During school breaks the older children will be home as well. We live in a house with a big back yard, located in a family friendly neighbourhood that is walking distance to the rail trail, parks, a library, and several drop-in programs. We are a 5-minute walk to a bus stop, a 10-minute walk to downtown Dundas, and a 15-minute walk to University Plaza. Duties include caring for the children, picking up the boys from school, playing with the baby and taking her to local activities, meal preparation (snacks and lunches for the children, family dinners), general housekeeping (laundry, dishes, sweeping/vacuuming, wiping down counters and tops, etc.), and occasional errands (groceries, etc.). We are looking for someone with at least three years of experience caring for young children, who enjoys being outside in all seasons, and is comfortable taking children to local activities and drop-in programs.
