Regular Childcare/Housekeeper/Helper Needed! Flexible, 4-8 Hours/Week

KS
Active:

Hello! We are hoping to find someone who is a good fit for our family of 3 humans and 1 canine. We are a professional couple with a 23-month old daughter and 2.5 year old dog, looking for some childcare/household help anywhere from 4-8 hours per week - ideally on Thursdays, and possibly on Fridays for the right fit. My partner works full-time, I work M-W, and our daughter goes to daycare M-W. I have recently started my Masters, and need some dedicated study time each week. On Thursdays & Fridays, I am home with our daughter - so these are the days we are looking for help, so that I am able to study. What are we looking for? Someone who will happily: - Hang out with our daughter (playground, park, play gym, library, walking the streets - whatever the day and mood calls for) - Meal prep & cooking for our family (when our daughter is napping) - Light housecleaning, time permitting - Walk our dog, time permitting (less of a priority!) The minimum amount of time we'd need someone is 4 hours (in the morning), and the maximum is 8. If we could have our ideal situation, it would be every Thursday for 6 hours, from 0800-1400. But: we are flexible! For the right fit, we could look at splitting the hours over two days, having a few less hours on Thursday, or having a few more hours on a Thursday, or consider alternating between Thursdays and Fridays. Friday is not as good a day for us, but we would consider if it we met the right person. What do we need in the right person? - Our top priority, not surprisingly, is our daughter's safety. Infant/Child CPR is mandatory. FoodSafe is a bonus. Awareness of general toddler safety also a must (e.g.: climbing anything/everything, running into traffic). - Experience with toddlers. - Love, kindness, empathy, patience, reliability, honesty, and good communication are desirable traits. - Someone who our daughter can play with and have fun with, most of all - but also someone who she can learn from and grow with. - Someone who is invested in creating a long-term, trusting relationship with us and our daughter (and dog!) - so please, if you are not looking for something you can commit to long-term, this isn't for you! - An appreciation and understanding of why we do not use any screens/phones around our daughter or children her age, and who will pay attention to doing the same. Our daughter is sweet, sensitive, empathic, inquisitive, and is figuring out how to be funny. She is very talkative, and cognitively a bit ahead of the curve. Playgrounds and books have been her two favourite things for quite some time. Singing and listening to any/all nursery rhymes is also high on her list of loves right now. When will you start? ASAP if possible, but we are open to waiting for the right person. If this strikes you as a potential match, or if you aren't sure and have a question - please be in touch!
