Monday to Thursday - Full Time - North Vancouver - One Child

JH
Active:

Hello, our family is looking for a full time Nanny/Aupair Monday - Thursday for our daughter Emily who is three. We are looking for a long term Nanny who is available to Monday through Thursday from 7:30am to 5:30pm. We are hoping to find a nanny/au pair who is able to commit to the role for 10 months or more. The Nanny/Aupair can be Live Out or Live In. We live in North Vancouver, BC – just 1km outside of Vancouver. Here’s a quick introduction to our family: My husband and I have one daughter, named Emily. She is a happy and well-loved little girl. At 43 and my husband at 50, we are older parents having chosen to work on our careers before establishing a family. Emily will be our one and only child. My husband is a Police Officer and I work for a high-end appliance retailer as their Director of Sales Operations. Both of our careers require a great deal of responsibility and time. As our careers are demanding, we strive to find work/life balance. Our main focus when we are at home is spending quality time with our family. Our family is warm loving and supportive but also has clear boundaries and structure. We share our home with my mom and dad who have a separate suite on the ground floor of our home. Grandma and Grandpa are 66 years old and split their time between Canada and Australia visiting their other grandchildren. We are a small close knit family who enjoy each other’s company. We would be described as outgoing, boisterous, honest and principled. We are looking for an nanny/au pair who is kind and loving, as well as mature and responsible. It is important to us that the Nanny/Au Pair spends time playing, singing and reading to encourage her growth. As Emily's primary caregiver, you would be playing an active role in her learning and development supporting Emily's physical, cognitive, emotional and social growth. Feeding, speech development, building their motor skills, sleep training, dental and personal hygiene are activities that will all be part of each day. We want somebody to see these tasks as fulfilling rather than taxing. Household duties related to Emily's care will also be expected as part of your role. Returning home to a (relatively) clean and organized household at the end of the day is a huge help. It allows us to spend more quality time with Emily so we are not worrying about trying to tidy up at the house and pick up their toys before bedtime. When you are providing care for Emily you will be expected to prepare her meals, clean up after her meals, help keep the play area tidy, pick up/organize her toys, Every once in a while vacuuming or mopping up after Emily and emptying the dishwasher. Our home, situated in North Vancouver is minutes away from every essential one would need. You are minutes away from shops, cafes, community centres, sport centres. Public transit in the city is very accessible and efficient. You are just 2 minutes to the nearest bus stop. We hope you’re interested in talking with us and exploring the opportunity to Nanny/Au Pair with our family.
