A caregiver position is available near Metrotown in Burnaby for an elderly man with Parkinson's disease. This position is perfect for a Live-in Caregiver but a Live-out Caregiver can apply as well. There is a nice and clean 1 bedroom suite with separate entrances, separate bathroom and laundry for a Live-in Caregiver. We are offering this accommodation for free in exchange for the caregiver being on standby at night and working 1 hour during the day or evening. The perfect candidate will be able to (1) be on standby during the night to re-position the patient when needed (not every night) and (2) give about 5 -6 hours of care-giving during the day and evening. If the candidate can only fulfill the night time position please please apply as we should be able to find another person for the daytime. The elderly gentleman is bedridden and needs to be put in a wheelchair during the day with the use of a roof mounted sling. Duties include turning, cleaning, changing diaper, feeding, meal preparation, and companionship.
