We are looking for a German-speaking long-term nanny (25-35h/wk, Mon-Fri) for our two bilingually raised boys (soon 5 and 7) in Kitsilano, as our current nanny is "more pregnant" every day. We have kind and caring, happy and active, inquisitive and playful kids, who enjoy to explore the outdoors, be active, really like each other and can play for hours at home. We are hands-on parents who love being present to our boys. It is really important for us to again find someone who really fits right in with who we are and what we value as a family. It simply makes everything so much more intuitive for everyone. We are seeking someone who truly connects with our sons, and will therefore genuinely love spending time with them; someone who is creative, active, loves to explore and play, is kind, thoughtful, attentive and caring. Although we are all fluent in English (Canadian-German family), finding a nanny who is fluent in German is very important to us and has high priority! As a bare minimum time-wise, we need someone who can be with us Mon-Thurs from 12:30 to 4pm or 5pm, and all day Friday (8am to 4:30pm) and Pro D days. However, preferably also for 2 hours in the mornings (Mon-Thurs) from 7:30-9:30am to get ready together before drop off at the local school and preschool. Picking up additional hours of light house-cleaning duties during preschool hours is possible. We are looking forward to hearing from you, if what we are seeking is what you feel you can offer.
