NO AGENCIES. What We Need: We are looking for 3 caregivers to join our mother's circle-of-care team to provide quality care and assist with ADLs and IADLs. Our mom was an independent, pleasant, and kind 82y/o women. Unfortunately last year she had a stroke that robbed her of her interdependence and left her with moderate physical disabilities.Thanks to her determination and her circle-of-care team, she continues to improve with every sunrise. Her goal is to walk again and we need someone like you to help her achieve her goal. What Our Mom Needs: You are gentle and considerate, funny and talkative, dependable and punctual, energetic and creative, respectful and protective, soft spoken and confident, insightful and an independent thinker. honest and trustworthy. Our mom also needs you to help her maintain her dignity and navigate embarrassing situations, to strive to maintain the highest standards of health care excellence and to collaborate with family members and other caregivers to foster healing and well-being in a holistic manner. Requirements and Qualifications: • Must be eligible to work in Canada • Be 18 years of age or older • Current Standard First Aid Certificate • Current CPR Certificate • Experience as a PSW or related position an asset • Fluent in English • Non Smoker Required Services: Recovery Services and Responsibilities; • Contributing to a positive living environment to enhance our mother's quality of life • Performing other reasonable duties that contribute to our mother's recovery as assigned • Daily hygiene and Peri-care when required • Track and report any significant changes in our mother's needs or conditions • Daily logging of vital signs, dietary and fluid intake • Reporting any significant changes in our mother's needs or conditions • Regularly communicating with our mother's circle of care • Accurately tracking. reporting and invoicing hours Companionship services including; • Providing companionship and conversation • Providing stabilization and assistance with walking • Preparing meals and cleaning up meal-related items • Providing medication reminders and appointment reminders. Home Helper services including; • Performing light housekeeping tasks (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, etc.) as it relates our mother. • Washing and ironing our mothers laundry. • Running errands • Accompanying our mother to appointments All candidates are required to submit a resume and may be invited to an in-person interview.
