As a Caregiver, you will work under the direction of a disabled female’s family and their care plan to provide home support services to this individual. Your goal will be to assist this individual to perform her complex daily needs: personal care, feeding, transferring, transportation, and social interaction, You will observe and document on the client’s health condition and environment and provide support and guidance to the family. Caregivers/Home Support Workers Requirements Legally able to work in Canada (Citizen, PR, Work Permit) First Aid/CPR Certificate Criminal Record Check Responsibilities - Personal care of the individual that includes hygiene, bathing, grooming and dressing. - Individual needs assistance with basic meal preparation and feeding. - Ability to transfer the individual from bed to wheelchair etc. (minimal lifting) and able to assist the individual in performing exercise stretching (minimal). - Basic housekeeping tasks that help keep the home environment neat. - Potentially transporting the individual to nearby appointments, engagements, social activities, events in the community or with family and friends. Individual has a vehicle. - Conversing to provide companionship and mental stimulation to the individual. This individual is completely dependent on her caregiver and family.
