We are seeking a professional, compassionate and reliable caregivers to provide live-in care for my wheelchair bound Mom in her 60s Our current caregiver is taking a month off to travel home to the Philippines to spend some time with her husband. She is going to help us with the transition and if you would like to speak with her about the position we will gladly connect you. The caregiver will stay in my Mom's home 2 days a week. Shift starting 11:00am on Thursday- 11:00am on Saturday. Meals and a private bedroom to sleep are provided. You will only need to get up in the night if my Mom needs to go to toilet (she has a kamod in the bedroom) Several times a week my Mom goes out to do physiotherapy, shopping, or to attend Dr appointments so you will have many breaks for hours at a time. For this type of shift, caregivers will be paid a flat day rate - TBD based on experience - please respond with your rate. Responsibilities include helping her with: • Personal hygiene such as bathing, dressing and grooming • Meal prep • Light housekeeping services (dishes, tidying, laundry etc.) • Medication reminders • Conversation and companionship • Assistance once or twice in the night for a bathroom break if needed. **Please note my Mom can self transfer from her wheelchair so no lifting is required. This is also a non-smoking household. You MUST be kind, patient, well spoken and able to put my Mom at ease, respecting her privacy and the environment of her home.
