This job will require morning and late-afternoon/evening work hours during workdays. There will time during each week-day available for you to pursue studies or spend as you wish (possible exception being when a child is home sick). Some weekend hours will also be needed.
Main duties:
The live-in or live-out home child care provider will be responsible for the following duties:
o Assisting with bathing, dressing and feeding the twin babies (born March 2018);
o Preparing food and changing the diapers for the babies when they are not at daycare;
o Planning, preparing and serving the meals for the family (six people) and may be required to perform other housekeeping duties;
o Dropping off and picking up the children from school or daycare on some days;
o Taking the children to and from school/daycare and to appointments and after-school activities as needed;
o Overseeing the children's activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by the parents;
o Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home;
o Caring for the children when they are ill;
o Helping to care for children when the parents are not available/away from home;
o Tending to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development;
o Disciplining the children according to the methods requested by the parents;
o Organizing and participating in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings; and
o Joining the family on travel/family vacations to assist with the four children.
Employment requirements:
o Completion of secondary school is required;
o At least five (3) years of work experience in live-in or live-out child care is required, with at least five (3) years having taken care of two or more children of ages ranging from 0 to 7 years old;
o Demonstrated household management experience;
o Proven ability to prepare meals for an entire family, taking into account dietary restrictions and other individual needs;
o Demonstrated ability to adapt to different cultures and family traditions;
o Must be able to present a CPR certificate or be willing to take CPR classes upon entry on duty;
o Must be willing and able to travel with the family, including travel abroad when necessary; and
o Once hired, completion of a 3-month probationary period will be required.

Work Schedule:
1. Work hours: 30-40 hours per week, hours starting at 7:30 AM Mon-Fri
2. Vacation: 4 of annual salary or 10 business days a year.
3. Salary: $ 12.50 - $15 per hour (negotiable) + full accommodation provided (for live-in); $15-$18 for live-out.
4. Overtime rate (after 40 hours per week): 18.75$ per additional hour
