Hello! My name is Andrea and I am looking for a live-out, part time nanny (ideally 3 days a week - 7:30am-4:30pm approximately) to join our family. I am home with the kids except for the occasional day here and there, so finding a good fit that works well with both the children and myself is very important. We have 3 children - 5 year old boy, 3 year old boys, and 1 year old girl. Our oldest was diagnosed a year and a half ago with a degenerative disease. He can no longer talk, is in a wheelchair and is tube fed. The job will mostly be to assist in caring for the two youngest. I’m hoping to have more flexibility to give some one on one time to those two, as well as substitute teach a few days a month. But it would be an asset if the candidate was willing to learn some of the basic pieces of our oldest’s care as well. He is at school full time unless sick or on vacation. I will be home or we have some respite services to help with his needs. We are hoping to find an energetic person who can keep up with two young children, and someone who is compassionate and caring as we don’t know the speed of our son’s progression and how that will affect the family. Ideally I would like someone who can share some of the housekeeping duties: - preparing lunches and snacks - keeping main areas tidy - keeping kitchen tidy and clean - sweeping/vacuuming floor - moping kitchen and main area once a week - laundry as needed We are located in Glamorgan (SW) and would require a driver’s license as I may need help getting our 3 year old to preschool in the fall. CPR and police check are also required. It is important to me that we find someone who can work on Tuesday’s, but we are somewhat flexible with the other two days. Given our unique situation, I’m hoping to find a person who is looking for a longer term position, as I don’t want the kids to get used to someone who is only looking for a short term position.
