32 hours a week permanent position. Includes onsite training for an individual with the right compassionate and dedicated work ethics wanting to learn how to provide support to a fun loving young lady in her home. She is fun loving and cognitively 2-6 years old with developmental disabilities and medical challenges (diabetes knowledge is advantageous) - her daily activities are largely preschool based and she loves her music. Shifts after training are preset and posted each month however includes days of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, (possibly Saturday) hours of : 8:30/9 am - 4:30/5:30 and thursday or Fridays from 12 noon - 9 pm. Hours may be increased to 36 after the first few months. Applicants need to be able to follow directions within preset routines and schedules - all within the young ladies home. This is a “single site facility/home position” under PHO - meaning workers cannot work or have practicums, at other locations under PHO. COVID protocols are in place This work Environment is very quiet; detail oriented; scent and cell phone free. You will learn to provide personal care, food prep and also light housekeeping and sanitizing, while also having attention to detail, reliability, have a good command of the English language to learn and facilitate .. in addition to the personal daily care and programming provided at.this ongoing year round position Clear criminal record check and first aid (can obtain once hired) plus reliable transportation (not public transport) is required. Position may suit a student with part time classes ..or to anyone committed to providing reliable ongoing permanent work on a long term basis.
