Hi There! We are a young family of 4 (dad, mom, 2.5 year old son, and 8 month old daughter + 6 year old dog) that live near Queen's University. Dad is currently on parental leave and mom has returned to work full-time with a mix of work from home and physically at work. We are looking for a kind, patient, responsible, reliable, punctual, and mature individual to provide love and care to our children (mainly the 2.5 year old) and help around the house such as tidying, food prep, laundry, dishes, and occasionally walking the dog. We would like an individual with previous experience in looking after infants and toddlers, knowledgable in educational activities for this age range, and childcare first aid and CPR including dealing with potential anaphylactic situations (son is allergic to peanuts and eggs). We also require a relatively recent vulnerable sector/police check and 2 references. Our current need is for a nanny/parent helper from 8am-4pm Monday through Friday from June to August, inclusive. The rate will be negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. Normally we send our son to daycare but due to COVID we are electing to keep him at home until minimum September. Since we are trying to maintain our physical distancing and reduce COVID exposure risk, the ideal candidate would only be working for our family and equally adhering to physical distancing rules in their personal/private lives. Depending on how COVID continues to develop, we may require services into September and onwards.
