Hi there! We are Samantha and Anne-Marie, both stay at home moms looking for a mother's helper to share between our two families. Both our husbands have demanding jobs and we have no local family for babysitting, so this help is huge for us to have appointments and run errands. Anne-Marie's family is also expecting a baby girl in September so some newborn and household help would be greatly appreciated. Tentative schedule would be 3 days per week with Anne-Marie's family (Mon/Wed/Fri for 4 hours per day morning or afternoon) and 2 days per week with Sam's family (Tues/Thurs 1:30-4:30 preferred). We are flexible in what the exact schedule looks like but week to week schedule changes would not work. NOTE: this is a shared opportunity but there is no expectation of taking both 3 year olds at once. Our sons are curious, full of energy, affectionate and love to learn. The ideal candidate is someone who is imaginative, creative and doesn't mind playing on the ground and getting dirty. Time spent outside is what our guys love best - so someone who shares this love of nature would be great! Trips to the neighbourhood playground and adventures in the forest is when our guys are really in their element. We have strong beliefs in limited screen time, we don’t use it as a form of entertainment and we hope to find someone who shares these values. We are looking for someone who is engaged and present while looking after our sons. For everyone's health and safety, this position will start in Summer or Fall depending on the Covid situation. Looking for someone who is certified in infant CPR and first aid, has recent references/has worked with a young child and has had a recent criminal record check. We will be interviewing those who we think would be a good fit for our family. We are located in the Mt. Doug area (close to UVIC) and Maplewood area (by Cedar Hill Golf Course).
