Quadriplegic female seeking an energetic part-time personal care attendant starting July 1. Suitable candidates should be responsible and reliable with personal means of transportation. Applicants must have a valid drivers license, clean driving record and be comfortable driving a minivan. Previous personal care experience required, formal training preferred but not essential. Hourly wage based on experience. Responsibilities will include: • Assistance with dressing, eating, bathing and grooming • Taking care of urinary drainage equipment and bowel routine (suppository) • Administering medication. • Performing range of motion exercises/stretches • Changing non-sterile dressings and bandages • Performing transfers from bed to wheelchair (using a ceiling lift) • Cooking simple meals • Performing light housekeeping duties • Helping client with easy administrative tasks • Accompanying client to physicians' offices, running errands and other appointments
