We want to hire a female worker to help take care of a female patient. The patient needs injections, blood tests and vital signs have to be checked. She has to be transferred in and out of a wheelchair, but she is small and heavy lifting is not required. She is also partially visually impaired. She needs a helper who can listen carefully and follow instructions precisely. We need someone with a steady hand to give insulin injections. Due to the patient's complicated body type, she needs the needle to be given very slowly and the needle remains in the patient for about 15 minutes. So we need someone with very steady hands. Duties will also include: -Assisting in grooming and toiletry needs. -Light cooking and food preparation -Simple Housekeeping -Organizing -Occasional grocery shopping Hours: Part time 2-3 days per week 11am until 2pm or 2pm to 5pm. NOTE: Punctuality is extremely important as the patient has appointments before and after. It will help if you live close to downtown because the shifts are short. Must wear mask and gloves at all times. Pay: $17/hour. Location: Fort York and Lakeshore area.
