Please read the whole posting before replying to see if this position would be a good fit for you. Our family is seeking a nanny to care for our 3 kiddos. I have flexibility with my schedule and I can set days of the week that accommodate the schedule of the candidate, as our primary goal is to find the right fit for our family. This position is based in Langley (near Langley Hospital). We are in close proximity to many parks, the library, and community center. We are looking for a caregiver that will become a part of the family. We are looking for someone patient, reliable, trustworthy with high morals, intuition, and prioritizes safety. Our past 2 nannies still visit the kids regularly and we think that's a great sign. Care is for a 6 and a half-year-old girl (wise beyond her years and an eager helper and learner), 4 and a half -year old boy (sweet, active, and patient), and a 1 and a half-year-old boy (full of laughter, energy, great fun and easy to put down for a nap. ). They all have a very outgoing and happy demeanor. Our kids are energetic, kind, and interactive. They enjoy the outdoors, doing activities, dancing, art, and play. The role primarily entails care of the children, keeping them engaged, snack/meal prep for them as necessary (light housework like keeping space tidy, folding laundry as they nap - as time permits). I will be working from my home office most of the day, so will be available to support you. Our approach to parenting is one to guide and coach our children with compassion and setting limits where needed with kindness. We also integrate a play-based approach whenever possible/appropriate. We feel that this helps keep peace and happiness and overall positivity around our home. We consider ourselves fair, fun, and outgoing but firm when needed. Info and Requirements: 1. We are looking for childcare for approx 20 to 35 hours per week. 2. Generally, this will be 3 days a week, from 8 am to 3 pm. We would also love someone who could do the occasional evening/weekend. 3. The health and safety of our children is our priority. Our 4-year-old is high risk due to a heart condition (it does not affect his day-to-day care), and with the current COVID-19 situation, we will only be considering caregivers that take social distancing seriously and safety precautions very seriously. 4. Because of our health concerns, we are also open to discussing a live-in arrangement to ensure safety as our bubble is just our family. Start date: We are hoping for a November start. Ideally, a minimum of an 8 to 12-month commitment. Experience & Salary: We require a minimum of 2 years of experience and experience with toddlers 2 and under. Criminal Record Check and References First Aid /CPR Required (we are happy to pay for the course if need be) :) Pay is negotiable and dependent on the candidate's past experience as well as the living arrangements.
