Two young adults with mild disabilities /no personal care needed (one young man, age 24, and one young woman, age 25) who have chosen to live as room-mates (with a young dog) in their own rental suite seek support workers who will come in to their home and support their independent living goals at various times throughout the week. Provide support with home skills (e.g. cooking, budgeting, shopping, planning activities, housekeeping, pet-care) Facilitate community participation -within COVID-19 regulations, take on trips to parks, swimming, skating etc. Ensure medical/safety care plans are followed (e.g. medication is taken, going to appointments) Entertainment, movies, board games, exercise videos, and having fun playing with dog. You must be legally entitled to live and work in Canada. This position pays $23/hour and $50 for optional occasional sleeping overnight shifts in clean private room.
