We are seeking a part-time live-out nanny to cohort with our family and work one-on-one with our 10 year old son through whatever the Fall brings us in terms of school, whether it be in-class, remote learning, or some mixture of both! Duties will depend on the ever-evolving pandemic situation, and we’re looking for someone who is flexible to work through that uncertainty and change with us. Ideally, we’d like to establish a long-term relationship to work with us through the next school year. Our son is entering grade 6 in September. He is a 2e student with level 1 ASD; experience with high-functioning Autism is a big asset! He is active and energetic (loves sports and being outside) and also loves learning new and challenging things. We are looking for a Nanny that can help nurture his curious mind but also has patience to work with some of his ASD-related challenges. Currently, one of his big passions is composing music on his computer, and he has recently become interested in photography. We will work with you to establish a minimum number of hours per week so that you have stability and predictability with the position, with a potential to increase hours depending on how much support is required for his schooling. Examples of duties may include: -Transportation to/from school (in the case of in-class learning) -Support of remote learning objectives -Planning and providing stimulating physical activities to keep him active and provide an outlet for all his energy Our priority is supporting our son’s learning and activities. However, we are happy to provide additional hours for other tasks such as errands, meal planning/preparation, and housekeeping if desired.
