Come work with us in our home in the beautiful and historic Annex neighbourhood in downtown Toronto! We are looking for a full-time caring, engaging, energetic, reliable nanny for our two children, starting immediately. We are a warm and fun-loving family who loves to spend time together. We have a one-year old son, who is smiley, cuddly, and already very determined. Our four-year old daughter is curious, super easygoing and incredibly sweet. She just loves to help out with her little brother! She is in a half-day program so will be at home in the afternoons. We very much view this as a long-term position, and as someone joining our family ‘team’. In addition to the above, we are looking for someone: - to provide a safe, supportive and attentive environment - with a good grasp of English who has the ability to play with kids at their level and engage with them in their interests; French-speaking abilities are a HUGE plus as our family is bilingual - who focuses on spending quality, interactive time with our child when he is not napping - we do not want any screen time - with a learning focused approach who will help teach practical life skills and early academics; post-secondary education is an asset - who will ensure that our child gets daily outdoor, nature time and physical activity (parks, walks, eventually biking and scootering) - who will read with our child and who has some facility with crafts, dance/music, cooking/baking - who has experience and comfort caring for multiple children and comes with excellent references - who will organize and supervise play dates/outings in the community - who will make nutritious meals and snacks for our child - who tidies up after themselves and after play and who will do meal prep and/or light cleaning when our child naps. We are not looking for or expecting a cleaner/chef/housekeeper, just someone who will help us keep the household running smoothly; we have a cleaning lady that we will be keeping - who takes covid-19 precautions seriously and will take measures to protect the health and safety of our respective families We are very focused on finding the perfect ‘fit’ with our family for a long-term partnership. Therefore, we are open to nannies looking for either live-in (newly renovated and modern basement apartment, including kitchen, den and laundry) or live-out arrangements.
