I have two great boys going into grades 3 and 5 who will need to be supervised as they participate in online classes. The job is for mornings of each school day (3-4 hours daily) and the pd days as well, from September through until June. I would like a nanny (male or female) who can supervise the children as they attend online classes, organize their schedule around the school work, and follow up on their independent work by sitting with them and helping them move through the questions. The nanny will also organize games, crafts, and outdoor time and indoor exercise. These two boys are bright, well-behaved, communicative and friendly. We also have a teenager at home who will not need supervision but may be available to help from time to time. We have a small fluffy dog at home. The home is non-smoking. We have space available for learning, dedicated computer for each boy, and will provide any needed materials. Both of us parents are working from home and are available to help with any learning challenges like math or language arts. Academics is not the focus for this job -- it is to ensure the kids have a variety of activities and spend time away from tv and video games. Sports like soccer, tennis, basketball, sledding, skiing are welcome! We are looking for an organized, creative and friendly person who would like to help bring some delight *and* order to our home-schooling challenges. We live 1 km away from a C-train station. I can provide reference (as a good employer) from the previous nanny we had for almost 3 years. COVID: Our family is doing everything we can to avoid catching covid / coronavirus before there is a vaccine. We are looking for our nanny to have same philosophy. That means: wearing a mask in all public places, washing hands, minimizing meetings with close friends or family, no parties or travel.
