We are a household of 3 young children, aged baby, 3 and 6. We are looking for help with the daily maintenance of the home so that parents are better able to accommodate professional duties and care of the children. Regular tasks would include: empty and load dishwasher, wash dishes by hand as needed, wipe down and counters, sweep floors and mop where needed, run laundry (sort, wash, fold, put away), pick up toys and out of place items, keep main entry points tidy and organized, vacuuming where needed. Weekly tasks would include change bed linens, change towels, wipe out fridge and discard as needed. Other tasks could include care for plants, sweeping outdoors, gardening if you Have experience, changing out seasonal items, dusting and general care of the home. Depending on candidate, we would also like help with some light meal preparation- such as prepare snacks or simple lunches, prep vegetables for dinner, etc. Childcare might include watching children while parent attends occasional meetings or appointments, sometimes staying with baby during school drop offs/pick up, watching older children if parent occupied with baby, watching younger children while parent occupied with teaching older child. This position would be mainly housekeeping but perhaps 30 childcare, depending on candidate. We are somewhat flexible with days/times of work so this can be discussed. We won’t ask you to do any jobs that we don’t routinely do ourselves, and we would expect to treat you fairly and with dignity. This position could be long-term if it is a fit for both of us.
