We are two "bubbled" families headed by young professionals looking for a nanny to care for our 2 toddlers (currently 14 and 20 months) as an alternative to traditional daycare. Full disclosure, we have some autoimmune issues in our bubble, so we are looking for a nanny who is like-minded in wanting to be more on the cautious end of COVID precautions. Don't worry, we're not the paranoid sort. The kids are still allowed to play at the park, etc., but if you're the kind of person who still likes to regularly hit the shops, restaurants or have your own kids or cohabiting siblings in regular school, we're very sorry, but this likely wouldn't be a good fit, no matter how wonderful a nanny you are. What we're looking for: ~ 3-4 hours of care, 3-5 mornings a week. Start date is ideally immediately, with flexibility for isolation time and/or COVID testing depending on the comfort of families and nanny ~ Someone who will not only watch the kids but engage them in a variety of activities: outdoor play, storytime, music, free play, sensory play, arts and crafts, etc. We are happy to work with you to come up with ideas and provide the required materials. ~ Duration would be until June 2021 at minimum, with an interest in extending if things go well. Care will take place in one of the children's homes in Old Ottawa South, with a well-equipped playroom area and backyard, close to parks. We require a police check (submitted), CPR training, and references prior to starting work.
