Our family is seeking a loving, caring and patient caregiver for our father. He is a very happy 77 yr old gentleman who has had a stroke. Our father is able to walk with the use of a walker indoors and outdoors- he needs assistance with dressing and is able to go to bathroom on his own. He is working hard on his coordination and balance. The right caregiver should enjoy short walks to the near by bakery, or market. Cooking healthy meals, light housekeeping. Presently, my father has a PSW that assists with bathing and this will continue. There is no heavy lifting, just laundry, light housekeeping, taking our garbage on Tuesday nights. . A fun, kind, patient, creative and organized personality is very important as my father is a funny guy! He will do very well with a routined schedule. He lives alone, all medical appts are taken care of by daughter. He lives on the main floor of his house, the bottom level has a private room, bathroom kitchen/ small living space and laundry. With access to back yard. Grocery is a 10 min walk, 3 min to TTC, St. Helens church is near by, its one of Toronto’s top neighbourhoods. AGO, cafes, libraries and a short 15 min walk to Dufferin Mall. Interviewing will be arranged after messaging.
