Employer: Private Position: Child Caregiver Terms of Employment: Full-time Location: Toronto, Ontario, Major Intersection: Eglinton Ave W and Spadina Hours of Work: 40 hours/week Language: English Salary: $17. 70 / hour Duties: Supervise and care for children in employer's own residence; Bathe, dress and feed children; Plan, prepare and serve meals for children and may perform other housekeeping duties; Oversee children's activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by the employer; Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home; Instruct children on and assist with personal hygiene; Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development; Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents; Provide age-appropriate educational training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings; Take children to and from programs, school and appointments; and Performing other errands as required. Requirements: Minimum one (1) year of caregiving experience Reliable and has excellent communication skills; Nurturing, attentive, and effective interpersonal skills; Completion of High School required; and Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends, if needed.
