We are looking for a full time caregiver for our twin 2 year olds for a short term contract beginning at the end of January until the end of March. They have a regular daily schedule with shared wake and meal times. One twin naps regularly for about 2 hours and the other twin naps 50 of the time or has one hour of quiet time. Start: January 25 2021 End: March 26, 2021 Hours: 9-5- although may vary from time to time if agreed to in advance. Vacation and Sick Days according to ESA minimums. Pay: Approx. $18/hour for 40 hours per week. Pay is negotiable however we will only pay above board and we contribute to Employment Insurance, Canada Pension Plan and WSIB. We are looking for someone who: • Enjoys kids and is committed to building their career around childcare and child development • Welcomes diversity and difference • Follows all public health COVID-19 protocols • Has progressive values (will not promote gender stereotypes, LGBTQ-positive, etc.) • Is comfortable getting outside and managing two active kids who are still learning safety • Can lead some pre-school play-based learning activities and crafts • Is patient, kind, firm on boundaries, and gives kids space to learn for themselves • Stays calm • Has up to date First Aid/CPR (or is willing to get it) • Is willing to help with kids laundry once or twice a week when the kids nap • Will prepare all snacks and lunch for the kids every day We are located near Wellington St and Bayfield St.
