Position: Nanny Employer: M. Family Location of Work: Vancouver (close to Trout Lake/ East Van) Start date: September 1, 2021 Nature of employment: Permanent, full-time Hours per week: 30 Description: Nanny required to provide part-time childcare for 4 year old and housekeeping. Some after school care for 11 year old as needed Main Duties: * Supervise and care for children in employer's residence * Pick up children from school and activities * Bathe, dress and feed children as needed * Plan, prepare and serve meals for children * Perform housekeeping duties- including meal prep for family, laundry and cleaning of kitchen and living area * Oversee children's activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by employer * Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home * Instruct children in personal hygiene * Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development * Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings Employment Requirements: * Completion of secondary school * Completion of a training program in child care or a related field * Flexible working hours required * At least two years of child care experience * Demonstrated ability to perform work, including demonstrated ability to manage multiple children under the age of four * First aid certification and CPR training required Principals only.
