We are a loving family of 5 with three kids, 2, 4, and 7, near Cambie village. I am in need of child care for our youngest 2 kids and light housekeeping. Mondays, Wednesdays, and either Tuesdays or Thursdays, approximately 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Your day looks like this: you arrive in the morning and greet our 2-year-old, the eldest 2 kids have already left for school. You care for the youngest (she likes coloring, play dough, painting, puzzles, games, pretend play, the pay set outside, the sandbox, the park, walks, and snacks). At 11:30 am you prep lunch and at 12pm you or I pick up our 4-year-old from preschool, 1.5 blocks away. Upon your return, the kids eat lunch and you tidy up the kitchen and help them eat if needed, possibly some dinner prep if there is time. Our 2-year-old goes down for a nap at 1 pm. From 1 pm to 3 pm you care for our 4-year-old (he loves puzzles, games, dinosaurs, cars, play dough, playing out back, etc.) you will have the baby monitor in earshot in case the 2-year-old wakes early from nap. At 3 pm the 2-year-old is awake and you care for both kids until 4:30 pm. Responsibilities: ensuring the safety and care of our 2 and 4-year-olds, engaging and facilitating learning through play, preschool pick up, diaper changing ( soon to transition to help with toilet), meal prep, light housekeeping (e.g. sweeping, wiping counters, and s, spot cleaning, filling and emptying the dishwasher, washing dishes, tidying, folding and putting away kids clothing, taking out garbage/recycling, putting away grocery deliveries if needed. Requirements: You are an experienced caregiver who loves working with toddlers. You love kids, are patient, warm and affectionate, playful, speak fluent English and able to read stories, willing to have a criminal records check (we will pay for), legally able to work in Canada, have excellent references, non-smoker, physically able lift, pull, carry, reach, safely prepare food (Food Safe Certification an asset), agree to put away your phone except for urgent matters, able to follow Covid public health recommendations.
