We are looking for a full time childcare provider for our young robust boys. One being a kindergartener and the other in grade one. The ideal candidate needs to be able to start early in the mornings between 7:15 to 7:30am to supervise the children. The candidate should be able to follow routines and schedules for the children. Be comfortable working with children, trustworthy, friendly, patient, with a loving and caring nature. We would like the children to develop strong positive relationships with the caregiver and feel a sense of comfort and safety with them. The candidate must be fluent in the English language. A second language such as hindi will be preferred to teach and communicate with the kids on a daily base in their own home mother tongue language. Duties involved: -Getting the children ready for school. -Support the children with personal hygiene -Doing both drop off's and pick up from school (driving). -Nourishing meal preparation for the children - breakfast, lunches, after school meal preps -Supporting the children with basic homework. -Reading stories to them -Accompanying them to extra curricular activities eg the park, sports activities. -Supervising appropriate activities with them at home -Light household duties while the kids are at school (kids bedding, washroom, laundry, vacuuming their play areas and bedroom). -Communicating well and prioritizing health & safety for the kids in and out of the home environment. **Street Parking is free if you have vehicle. PAPERWORK REQUIREMENTS: 1. A current, updated police clearance or willing to obtain 2. Resume 3. CPR/first aid training - or we will request the right candidate to complete this course (usually a 2 day course). 4. Photo ID 5. References 6. Any other previous caregiver certification or related experience with people in any type of vulnerable sector will be useful. 7. Driving is required Other personal qualities which will make an individual candidate stand out: If the candidate has Hindi as a second language, this skill will be highly favoured as we are teaching our children to develop linguistic skills of speaking and understanding in this particular language. Other standout qualities will be... a very positive attitude towards their work, hardworking, taking instructions well, able to meal prep with the ability to work independently. ****The right candidate is not required to be live in. The candidate must be able to start early - 7.30 in the mornings, Monday to Friday. We would ideally like to trial out the right candidate (with pay) to see if you are suitable and a good match for our family. This is a long term commitment.
