Caregiver required for a fairly active senior (sleep in 7 nights a week).
We are looking for a compassionate, caring, positive, and reliable caregiver to provide live-in care for a fairly active 77-year-old woman with Alzheimer's who lives in Newmarket.
Must be able to communicate clearly, and respectfully, as one adult to another (no baby talk). We are searching for someone who is able to encourage her to keep the skills that she has left, so you must be able to coach and patiently encourage her to do things on her own. She enjoys walking and going for drives in the country. She does require help with showering and getting dressed. House cleaning and simple meal preparation are part of the duties as well.
This is a long-term position with a loving senior for the right caregiver.
