Our family of 4 is looking for a full-time permeant nanny to care for our fun, silly, energetic, strong-willed, neurodiverse 7 year old twins. Hours are from 7am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday. The children are homeschooled and an EA will work one-on-one with each child for between 2 to 3 hours per day (total of 4 to 6 hours per day). You are energetic, confident, kind and able to be “in the lead” with the children. Ideally you would have experience with neurodiverse children and have taken Neufeld’s Intensive I and II. However, we will pay for the courses and allow for attendance for candidates who do not have this requirement. Job Description — Maintain a safe and healthy physical and mental environment — Coordinate activities during the day that ensures their full and overall development — Create or follow nutritious meal plans — Online shopping for all grocery and household items — Prepare and serve meals (3 meals and 2 snacks at designated times) — Prepare and pack school hot lunches and snacks — Ensure children are outside 3 hours per day rain or shine. — Instruct the children in personal hygiene all developmentally appropriate activities — Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents — Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties. There is a house cleaner for the deeper cleaning. — Assume full responsibility for the household in absence of parents. — Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and light housekeeping duties. — Wash fold clothing and household linens relating to the children. Job Requirements: — Completion of Neufeld’s Intensive I and II (this can be completed during the contract) — Understanding of attachment theory or developmentalism — At least 5 years of caregiver experience for children, ideally with neurodiverse children — Follow all the local laws and regulations for example COVID restrictions — Working hours of 10.5 hours per day (7am to 5:30pm) Mon to Fri and occasional over night/weekends due to travel by parents.
