We are looking for a live-in nanny/caregiver for our elderly dad and his house in the Glen Abbey area in Oakville. He is able to do most things on his own, and with some assistance, although he switches between his bed, a wheelchair, and a lazy boy chair. Mainly he needs company, and meals cooked and to accompany him to the store. He provides all of the groceries. Candidate must be able to work 6 days a week (on every other Sunday) and in return will be compensated with free private residence and board (all meals/food included as well as unlimited internet/wifi). The private upstairs suite (second level of house) has a TV and is also attached to 2 full private washrooms. Working days are broken up and are not full days. Lots of time to yourself throughout the day/week and weekend. You do not need to be with him all day as he also likes his own time. The candidate must complete a criminal background check and should have a current COVID-19 test. Skills : -Patience -Compassion -Cleanliness Experience : -Nanny or caregiving: 1-3 years (Preferred) Language: -Does not need to speak English Duties: -Assisting with some personal hygiene and getting dressed -Assisting with housekeeping -Providing companionship -Observing and reporting on changes in the health -Preparing food and snacks -Administering medications -Private Transportation is provided by a service. Just need to ride together to the store -There is also a private service that sends a nurse for 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the evening to assist when he is waking up / going to sleep so that is extra help every day. Salary is $2,000.00 per month ($500 cash is paid to you weekly (Every Monday) The position is 3-12 months and can also be permanent/ long term if the fit is right.
