We are looking for a nurturing and responsible live-out nanny to look after two toddler aged children (2 and 3). Permanent position for approximately 20-30 hours per week. Responsibilities and Duties: - Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home - Assist children for rest periods (naps and quiet time as per routine) - Prepare and serve nutritious healthy meals for children as per food/dietary preferences of parents and children - Change diapers for toddler and support toilet training - Bathe, dress and feed children when necessary - Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents - Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children - Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development - Supervise and care for children - Tend to emotional well-being of children - Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents - Light housekeeping - Keeping kitchen area and play area tidy - Responsible for children’s laundry (following specific instructions) - Tidying areas pertaining to children and care (I.e putting away toys, making their bed, tidying rooms, etc.) - Oldest child will be attending preschool in September, so pick up may be required - Plan daily activities for children, a d ensure physical activity with outdoor play (when weather permits) Qualifications and Skills: - Minimum 1 year of work experience working/caring for children - Excellent understanding of the English language both written and verbal use - Comfortable with pets - Valid drivers licence with own transportation - Clear criminal record check/vulnerable sector check - CPR Certification - up to $20/hr - wage dependent on experience.
