The Overnight duties and responsibilities of Marion’s Caregiver are as follows:
Provide companionship, chatting with her, keeping a radio on in her bedroom, monitoring her all night.
Feeding a snack at 10:30 pm
Meal assembly for Breakfast, Lunches, Snacks & Dinner with training – Marion only eats pureed foods which we make in advance using a Vitamix & freeze. Exceptions being Mashed Potatoes and Tomato Soup
Assist in feeding, she can only handle holding a glass, can’t use cutlery
Scanning her arm for Libre Freestyle Blood Sugar Monitor during the night to make sure she isn't going low
Personal care, brushing her teeth & cleaning bridge,
Daily bathing as required, dressing and undressing
Going to the bathroom (bidet in the downstairs washroom)
Clean Marion’s bedroom, diningroom space and the floor under her spot, bathroom downstairs and shower room, floor & sink upstairs
Light cleaning duties, - dishwasher loading & unloading, dusting, vacuuming, Laundry & Changing Bed
Keeping the 2 Humidifiers filled daily, house garbage removal.
Massage of Legs and Shoulders, making Lavender & Peppermint Oils for Massage
We have the following equipment in the House:
Bidet toilet in her bedroom
Chair-lift to shower room & Wheeled Shower Chair
Ramp from her bedroom to Livingroom & TV Room
2 Wheeled Chairs to move her around the house on 2 levels
1 Outdoor Wheelchair
Pivot disc transfer
Hoyer Lift to be operated by 2 persons
