My mother needs a caregiver to help with basic personal tasks, cleaning and snacks/meals. My mother is 89 and severely arthritic, so she does not move easily. She is also diabetic and so having snacks and regular meals are important. She has early dementia, which means that her short term memory is poor. Here is the schedule I am hoping to find caregivers for: MONDAY - FRIDAY 4pm - 7pm *Preparing dinner and getting her to eat *Clean up of kitchen and anything else needed in house *Monitor that she has taken medication (We have Remedy Rx for her insulin) *Encourage personal hygiene/bathing *May occasionally need drive to a medical appointment (she has very few) WEEKEND (SATURDAY AND SUNDAY) - either or both shifts 9am - noon 4pm - 7pm Duties as above. Meals are generally already prepared, although my mother really appreciates a home-cooked meal. I am hoping for someone who has a car and can take my mother to the occasional appointment as needed.
