I have two children - a daughter in Grade 4 and a son in Grade 2. I work full-time (often from home but I'm out of the house at least one day a week) and the kids are now home doing school online for at least two weeks. I am looking for someone who can help out during the next two weeks with online school (they are in French immersion so French language is an asset). Beyond that it's hard to predict exactly what will happen. If the kids go back to school until the end of June, then I'm hoping that we could continue to have someone come 3-5 days per week to help after school - they get home from school at 2:45 M-Th and at 12:15 on Fridays. If you would also be willing to help with laundry, organizing, tidying, groceries, errands, snack and meal prep, +/- house cleaning then the hours could be expanded. In the summer (July-August) they will be off school and will do a few summer camps but otherwise will be home. So the hours over the summer could look more like full-time for about half the summer but there would be some weeks with less childcare needed and likely fewer hours of work. While this may not be ideal for many it could work well for someone that wants some flex time over the summer for vacation or studying. We live in the NW of Calgary near the Foothills hospital. We are smoke-free and require you to be as well. I would also very much prefer that you be willing to be vaccinated against COVID and that you are reasonably cautious with social contacts etc. We have a small/medium sized dog that would love to be included in walks etc. You could start right away.
