I am looking for a nanny for my one-year-old son. We are a family of 3 (father, mother, and baby) and live in the Thornhill area. Both I and my husband will be working from home and will need someone to look after my son while we work during the day. My mother comes over every morning to look after him, so the working hours will be starting at 12:30 noon to around 7:30 pm, Monday to Friday, and one day on the weekend. The qualities I am looking for in a nanny are caring, patient, honest, hardworking, responsible, and clean. Duties include looking after the baby (feeding, making meals, cleaning up after baby, play activities, potty training, changing diapers, putting baby to sleep, taking child to playground, reading to baby, creating a safe and simulating play environment, etc). We also require our nanny to help out with light housekeeping. We thank all applicants for applying, however, only those with the relevant experience will be contacted for an interview. All applicants must have Emergency child care first aid and CPR, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate. References and police check must be available upon request. We can accommodate both live-in and live-out positions. All COVID precautions must be taken very seriously because we have vulnerable and elderly family members living with us. Masks must be worn while working with our family. For live-in positions, we have a large private furnished room in the basement with a large window and closet. We also have a separate kitchen in the basement available so that our nanny can have her own personal space. The nanny will have a bathroom in the basement to be shared with one other person. We are able to sponsor and already have a positive LMIA result. However, only applicants already in Canada will be considered. Please do not apply if you are not physically in Canada. Salary can be negotiated depending on experience level and education, also if the position is live-in/out or if sponsorship is needed.
