We are looking for care for our 2 children - 5 and 6 for afternoons, starting now and to continuing into the school year. We need assistance with pick up after school, after school snack and either getting the kids to/from activities or other after school fun. School/camp generally ends around 3, and the position could either be 3-6, 5x a week, or the day could start earlier if you are open to helping with the household (cleaning, cooking, groceries, household management). Our boys are independent, thoughtful, curious and hilarious. We live around Dundas and Prince Edward in the kingsway neighborhood of etobicoke (just west of the humber River). Their school/camp is around high park, so driving is essential. some details: - live out, part time, - seeking someone who will take a gentle and curious approach to communicating with our kids, while still providing structure and boundaries - more below and happy to discuss more - driver required - pick up from school and getting the kids to activities is essential - we have a large backyard and lots of space to play ! The ideal candidate will have significant experience and excellent references, as well as CPR and a police check. Covid safety is a priority and we follow all guidelines and take every precaution necessary to keep our community safe. We are seeking someone kind, gentle, patient, energetic, curious. intelligent, self-motivated, warm and committed. We love to foster our kids creativity and are looking for someone to do the same. We want them to jump in muddy puddles, get messy, explore new foods and experiences, be outside, develop their sense of self and self confidence in a supportive environment. We believe that boundaries are healthy, and that structure is important. We support that actions have consequences, but we don’t believe in punishment or time outs.
