This position is based in Port Coquitlam close to Hyde Creek (Coast Meridian and Prairie area). We live in a single-family home with a nice yard in a quiet, family-friendly neighbourhood. Care is for a 3.5 year old girl and a 2 year old boy, both kids are calm, kind and fun loving. Both of our kids love to be outdoors and are curious to learn about their environment. Our daughter loves reading books and engaging in activities such as painting, crafts, etc. She is also athletic and loves to run, jump, rider her bike, and scoot her scooter. Our son has the warmest smile and laughs at just about everything. He’s generally shy but loves exploring new things and warms up to people quite quickly. The role primarily entails care of the children, keeping them engaged and snack/meal prep for them as necessary (light housework, keeping space tidy). Our approach to parenting is one to guide and coach our children with compassion and setting limits/boundaries where needed. We also integrate a play-based approach whenever possible/appropriate.
