Nanny for 2 Toddlers M-F 8-4:30

We are two families of 3 looking for a nanny to support our families while parents are at work. Our focus is looking for someone to provide childcare to our two 16 month old children starting in September, with some childcare related cleaning (babies’ dishes, toy tidying, etc.) so that we can maximize our time with our children when not at work. I need M-F, 8-4:30, and the other family needs M-F, 8-2 to start. So 40 hours with one child, and approx. 30 hours with the second. We are looking for a minimum 8-month contract to start. Though we hope to extend, with lots of notice from us. Care will be provided primarily from my home on Mountbatten Place, in the Rockland area of town. It is very close to the Oak Bay/ Fort junction for buses, if you don’t drive or have a vehicle. Our children love outdoor time, singing, dancing, making music, reading, and generally exploring new places and things. We treat our children with respect and developmentally appropriate autonomy. I have a small dog (Shih Tzu), who is well-behaved. There would be no dog-specific responsibilities, though he may be present during the day (he usually spends the work day sleeping at my feet in the office). We are VERY conscientious of COVID etiquette and have only expanded our bubbles minimally in light of the updated recommendations. We would appreciate a nanny who does the same/similar - conscientious bubble, vaccinated, etc. Parents will all be fully vaccinated come September. At my house, we both work from home in a designated room. We will work with you to find a balance of not causing a distraction to your care of the children. Our car is available for baby-related activities if needed. Salary is negotiable depending on your experience and qualifications, but we anticipate rates within $18-$26 per hour depending on your experience and whether there is one child or two. Must have criminal record check and first aid/CPR. Prefer at least 3 years experience with infant/toddlers (some experience with this age is mandatory). Full time starts September 7, and there may be an opportunity to ramp up starting part-time the week before if you’re available. We are offering 3 weeks paid vacations, coordinated with our own. For example, there are 5 vacation days (+3 stats) taken at Christmas. And 5 paid sick days annually.
