Senior Helpers Mississauga provides in-home care to seniors in Mississauga and western Etobicoke - www. seniorhelpers. ca/mississauga Our in-home Caregivers provide quality care that allows our clients to age with grace & dignity and to remain in their homes for as long as possible. PLEASE NOTE - to apply for these jobs, you must live near Mississauga, and you must drive & have access to a car - and we do not offer cash jobs, all Caregivers are part-time employees of Senior Helpers Mississauga and are paid bi-weekly via direct deposit payroll. We offer two streams of in-home care to our clients - Personal Care and Companion Care. Both our Personal Caregivers and our Companion Caregivers provide our clients with: - companionship & socialization; someone to chat with, share stories with, play games, go for a walk, etc. - medication reminders - help around the home; meal prep, light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, etc. - accompaniment to appointments - plus more. Our Personal Caregivers also assist clients with their Activities of Daily Living: - hygiene/bathing - dressing - mobility assistance / transferring - continence care What kind of Caregivers do we want on our team - you're mature, responsible, reliable, trustworthy, and an excellent communicator - this isn't just about a paycheck, you are a caring & compassionate person who wants to make a difference in a senior's life - Personal Caregivers must be graduates of an accredited PSW Program, or nurses/nursing students - all Caregivers will have clean Police & Vulnerable Sector Checks Our minimum shift length with a client is 3 hours (and they can be as long as needed), and we ensure that our Caregivers visit the same client regularly, so they're able to build a bond, understand each other's routines, and provide the client's family with peace of mind.
