We are a Victoria, BC-based family looking for someone to support our very unique and intelligent 8-year-old daughter who requires total care, has a G-tube and tracheostomy. She is very social, loves being with people, art, socializing with peers, dancing, and music. The rate of pay is $25 per hour and at least one parent/trach trained person will be home at all times to assist. Knowledge and skills: Recognizes and respects the uniqueness, dignity, and worth of each individual Recognize each person's need for self-determination Respects the philosophy of community inclusion Respect for confidentiality and privacy of all individuals We would need someone weekend days, to help with G-tube feeds, toileting, and helping her enjoy her day.
