I am looking for a part time after school arrangement for my autistic daughter. Care would be Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2:10 to 4:30pm, starting ASAP. My daughter is 9 years old (Grade 4) and has autism. She is a calm, happy child, and very easy to care for, but is non-verbal and needs support with feeding and toileting. We live very close to her school so it is very easy to walk her home from school each day. I am a teacher and my husband is a principal. We are a typical, happy family, non-smokers. You would get 2 weeks off at Christmas, another 2 at Spring Break, any Stat holidays that fall on required days, and we don’t require service in the summer. BI (behaviour intervention) experience an asset, or other experience working with children with special needs such as a retired EA would be ideal but not necessary. If you have experience with children with special needs in other areas that is great as well!
