Only fully vaccinated people are allowed into our home Patient has ALS, a great sense of humour, uses a wheelchair, and requires assistance with all Activities of Daily Living. He is non-verbal and uses technology to communicate. About You: We seek a quick learner who can manage the physical nature of caring for somebody who cannot move or speak on his own, and once trained, can take initiative and follow the routine independently. Experience as a nurse or PSW is helpful but not required, but related caregiver experience is necessary. THE SHIFTS ARE 3 MORNINGS per week. Either a) Sat 10-2, Sun 10-2, Mon 9:30-1:30 OR b) Sun 10-2, Mon 9:30-1:30, Tues 9:30-1:30 JOB REQUIREMENTS: dressing, showering, grooming, ceiling lift transfer, meds, food prep and g-tube feeding, tidy up, light range of motion exercises Training provided WAGES: You will receive aT4 at $22.00 per hour plus 4% vacation pay minus regular payroll deductions (income tax, EI, and CPP).
