You will be working with a fun loving young lady with developmental disabilities in her home - all Training specific to her will be provided on the job. We are looking for a long term employee You will be working in her home, one on one providing and guiding her daily living activities in her home including assisting her in her personal care (she is biologically 29 but cognitively age 2-6). Her many activities are at the same level and fun as you would provide as a nanny. It is important that you enjoy a quiet environment, repetition, a job that is filled with work and tasks to be done throughout all shifts; plus at a minimum - you would need to enjoy the Disney Princesses, reading stories aloud, plus listening and “exercising” particularly to Mother goose, Barney and Taylor Swift Music! Knowledge of individuals with developmental disabilities and diabetes is advantageous - but openness and willingness to be taught about her specific “individualized person centred” daily requirements, and follow a preset daily plan of activities is a must. This job also includes charting of the activities as you provide and follow her established unchanging daily detailed care plans, food prep, light housekeeping, plus provide some computer summary of daily activities. Shifts will be mostly regular schedules, but posted every month Shifts during training will be : 1. 8:30 am-3 pm Tuesday, and Thursdays or Fridays. (After training will include Day Saturday 8:30-3pm), and Sunday afternoons 12noon-5 2. Mondays - fall/winter 10am-5pm (may rotate hours Mondays ongoing from 8:30 or 10:30 start). 2. One evening shift of either Wednesday, Thursday, Friday evening 5pm to 10/11 pm. This position to start is approximately 26-30 hours and will grow to 34/36 with medical dental provided. When applying please confirm your availability to the specific shifts and times you are available for, plus please specify whether this would be your only position, or supplemental to a second one. Person suited to job will be: detailed orientated, reliable, have a good command of English, and able to follow directions of a preset daily plan. CRC required, and first aide necessary (can be obtained if chosen), plus be able to do without your cell phone when at this quiet no scent, no smoking workplace. This workplace follows all Public Health Orders, including vaccination requirements and Covid procedures which are in place and followed.

Salary: Negotiable, based on experience
